Privacy Policy

Azar Farooq Kickboxing (“AFK”, “we”, “us”) · Bradford, UK · Last updated: 16 August 2026
This policy explains how we handle your personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Because we work with children, we take particular care with young members’ information.

Who we are

Azar Farooq Kickboxing is the data controller for the personal information you provide when you join, train with, or manage a membership at our club. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us using the details on our sign-up page or in your member app.

What we collect

Children’s data

Where a member is under 13, we rely on a parent or guardian to provide consent and to manage the child’s account. Parents can view their children’s progress, classes and billing, and can contact us at any time to access, correct or delete their child’s information.

Why we use it (lawful bases)

Cookies

We use a single, strictly-necessary cookie to keep you signed in securely (an httpOnly session cookie). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required. Clearing this cookie simply signs you out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the club — our hosting provider and our payment provider — and only as needed to deliver the service, or where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep membership records for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, financial and safeguarding obligations, after which we securely delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sessions use secure cookies, and access to member data is restricted by role. We never send passwords by email.
